There have been last minute changes in flight arrangements so you phone your son at his
office to let him know of these and save him a fruitless drive to the airport. You speak to his
secretary who informs you that your son is at a meeting but that she can get a message
through to him. You say:

Please make sure that he is there at the airport to meet me as arranged.

I think he should know that, unfortunately, the holiday has had to be cancelled.

Please explain that London - Amsterdam flights are fully booked for the next six weeks.

I just want to remind that he promised to meet me at the airport this evening.

Just tell him there’s been a change in the program, and I shall not be arriving this evening.
