interest in what is being said, and become
impatient. (III) Your thoughts turn to something
else for a moment, then dart back to the
speaker. (IV) These brief side excursions
continue until your mind lingers too long on
some other subject. (V) Then, when your
thoughts return to the person talking, you find
he's far ahead of you.
