An estate agent is showing you and your
partner round a house you're thinking of
buying. The house is beautiful, but there
are some large cracks on the ceilings.
When the estate agent leaves the room, you
say to your partner:

The price is right, the location is ideal.
Isn't it beautiful? We must buy it.

It's lovely, but it's a bit far from work, isn't
it?

There's no way we are going to be able to
afford it!

We should check the cost of any repairs
before deciding.

We wouldn't have to redecorate if we
bought it.
